Don B is proud to announce that his son Steve Brannan has opened
his Custom Gear shop. He has been building and modifying guns and
accessories since his early teens. Now as an accomplished and
experienced firearms engineer with several years of service in the
industry he is stepping out into the business world. He is offering a
line of Custom Built Gear initially consisting of weapons retention
systems. I and others have been beta testing his rigs for several
months. I personally have tortured those holsters for 12 to 18 hours a
day since early 2013. They have endured water, sweat, dirt, dust,
fresh concrete, hydraulic oil, snow, & fire runs, including laying on the
ground & gravel while repairing broken equipment. My holster is beat
up, scratched, & stained as if it went there and back (which it did), but
is holding it's shaped, securing my pistol, and WORKING FINE.
I've been carrying handguns in holsters for over 50 years. I've used
nearly ever type of holster made & carried in a variety of locations or
methods. I believed I new what was best, but I finally agreed to try his
version. In one day I realized my error. These hybrid holsters using
steel, leather, and Kydex are amazingly comfortable, reliable, and
effective. They are certainly my first choice and ride on my hip daily.
