This Level II Class focuses on the methods and equipment needed for the legally authorized Concealed Carry of a Weapon (CCW) in the public arena.
All students in this class must have a valid & current Handgun Carry Permit issued by their Resident State. All students applying for this Class must have
successfully completed the ProTEQ Level II Armed Response to Criminal Attack Class or have proven in front of a ProTEQ Master Instructor their proficiency
through extensive testing in the practice drills utilized in that prior class. This CCW course will include instruction on various holster types, locations, and
construction; Styles of concealment garments, draw techniques; movement while shooting, and use of cover; Different types of ammo, weapons reloading, and
appropriate firearms; Plus stress control, situational awareness; and other points of interest. Many varied shooting drills will be employed through
out the class on a variety of tactical range setups. These scenarios will be designed to elevate the students blood pressure, simulate stress load,
and require "on the go" reactive decision making. At the end of the class each student will participated in a testing drill on a specialized range.
That scenario will involve successive threat / hostage revelations in a timed shoot house scenario requiring a minimum level of competency
to graduate from the class. You must schedule the class in advance. A One on One, 2 hour, AR Class costs $120.00. If two or more students attend the
class the cost is $100.00 per student. Students are required to supply their own handgun and 300 rounds of ammunition. Minimum caliber should be 9MM.
Revolvers are strongly discouraged for this class UNLESS the shooter can demonstrate (in advance) sufficient hand size and strength to withstand the
stress of firing several hundred revolver rounds in a short time period. A strong side, fixed shape, belt holster is required. A top quality fixed shaped IWB holster
will be accepted if it allows easy one handed re-holstering.
No cross draw, small of the back, shoulder, ankle, or SOFT sided IWB (inside the waistband) holsters are allowed because of safety concerns.
